Een kleine Clynelish Head-to-Head …
Hallo,
Eerder verschenen op ‘t dagboek notes en quotes voor een Clynelish 1982 van Malts of Scotland die ik behoorlijk lekker vond 
:
Clynelish 1982/2010 (51.5%, MoS, C# 5895)
N: some spice, bees wax, nice depth, slight oakiness, some vanilla, malty sweet, slight hints of tropicalness.
T: spicy and rather dry, great mouth feel, nice oakiness, malty sweet, some straw and still these hints of tropicalness.
F: remains very powerful, malty sweet, more vanilla.
B: nice piece of work, very Clynelish-y …
Verdict: 90/100.
Nu kwam er onlangs nog zo ééntje uit van dezelfde bottelaar. Het leek me een tof ideetje om deze eens head-to-head te gooien … voorwaar een leuke strijd. Hierna ook mijn notes/quotes van de tweede:
Clynelish 1982/2010 (48.7%, MoS, C# 5894)
N: herbal, spicy, some ash, fresh, very deep and complex, bees wax, malty sweet, slight hints of tropicalness, slight oaky touches, gets more old Speyside than Clynelish.
T: spicy and creamy, vanilla, oak, loads of ripe orange, a bit zesty, remains herbal, wins complexity with time, needs air, remains quite ‘Speysidy’, lovely stuff.
F: remains strong and powerful, not to complex, but oh so pleasant.
B: also great stuff with especially a lovely mouth feel ..
Verdict: 90/100.
Twee andere whisky’s (je proeft wel dat ze dicht familie zijn, maar toch …) … echt heel leuk om ze naast mekaar te zetten, en na lang en ampel beraad kwam ‘t uit op een gelijkspel. Voor dit probleem is er maar één oplossing: van elk één flesje aanschaffen hé …
